4 6. V ehicle braking and stability ma y be aff ected with the attachment of this s weeper . Do not ll sw eeper to maximum capacity without checking the capability of the towing vehicle to saf ely pull and stop with the s weeper attached. Stay off of steep slopes.

6 9. (Figure 7) Assemble the height adjustment handle to the height adjustment tube as shown in gure six. Use two cur ved head bolts (C), bowed washers (L), 5/16" lock washers (K) and 5/16" he x nuts (H). Do not tighten yet. 10. (Figure 7) Assemble the gr ip onto the height adjustment handle.
7 12. (Figure 9) P osition the height adjustment handle side to side so that the tooth lock washer (M) can t betw een the handle and the height adjustment strap . Tighten the nuts securing the height adjustment handle. 13. (Figure 9) Inser t the 5/16" x 1" carriage bolt (E) through the height adjustment handle.
8 7. (Figure 14) Inser t the bag frame strap into the stitched slee ve along the front edge of the bag bottom. 8. (Figure 14) Assemble the bag frame str ap to the lower hopper side tubes using two 1/4" x 1-1/8" clevis pins (Q) and 3/32" hair cotter pins (O).
9 IMPORT ANT: Do not o ver bend the support rods during the following step . Over bending will cause the steel rods to loose suppor ting tension. 10. (Figure 16) Tip the hopper onto it's bac k to assemb le the two hopper suppor t rods.
10 15. (Figure 20) T o assemble the hopper bag to the sw eeper , slide the ends of the bag ar m tubes into the ends of the s weeper's hitch tubes and secure with two 1/4" x 1-3/4" cle vis pins (R) and 3/32" hair cotter pins (O).
11 A TT A CHING SWEEPER HITCH T O TRACT OR (Figures 21, 22, 23) 1. Place the tractor and s weeper on a at le vel surf ace. 2. Set the sw eeper height adjustment handle to about the middle of its adjustment range .
12 HO W TO USE Y OUR SWEEPER BRUSH HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT T o adjust your s weeper brushes to the best operating height, loosen the adjustment knob and push down on the height adjustment le ver to raise the br ush. Best adjustment is when the brush setting is 1/2" down into the grass .
13 WHEEL GEAR AND P A WL SER VICE IMPORT ANT: Do not remove both wheels at the same time to av oid mixing of par ts. (The R.H. and L.H. ratchet gears are not interchangeable .) Make notes on the position of washers and snap rings during disassembly . 1.

15 ARMADO DE LA B ARREDORA Nota: La mano derecha y la izquierda se deter minan desde la posición del operador sentado en el v ehículo de arrastre. Nota: las guras del ar mado se encuentran en las páginas de 5 a 10.
16 PRECA UCION: ¡Nunca amarre la cuerda de la tolva a ninguna par te de su cuer po ni de su ropa! ¡Nunca se cuelgue de la cuerda mientr as remolca la barredora ! Amarre la cuerda al vehículo de remolque, manteniéndola alejada de las ruedas y de las par tes giratorias.
17 1. Limpie completamente la barredora y la bolsa de la tolva para a yudar a prev enir la oxidación y el moho . 2. P ara doblar la bolsa de la tolv a cuando se v a a guardar , retire las dos barras de soporte de la tolv a de la par te trasera de la misma.

20 FRANÇAIS A TTENTION: N’attachez jamais le cordage de la trémie à votre cor ps ou à v os v êtements ! Ne tenez jamais le cordage en tractant la balay euse ! Fixez le cordage au véhicule tracteur an de l’éloigner des roues et des pièces en mouvement.
