6 Figure 5 Final Adjustments Auger C ontrol Adjustm ent Check the ad justment of th e auger con trol as foll ows: • Push for ward on the aug er cont rol until the small rubber bumpe r contac ts the upper ha ndle. The re should be s lack in the cable.

Tire Pr essure The tires ar e overin flated for s hipping pu rposes. • Check tire pr essure, by referr ing to tire sidewal ls for recomm ended tire pr essure.
8 Auger Dr ive Control The auger dr ive contr ol is located on the left ha ndle. Squee ze the contr ol grip to en gage the auger s. Release to st op the snow thr owing action.
9 WARNING: Use extreme car e when handling gasoline. Gasoline is extremely flammable an d the v apors are explosive . Never fuel machine indoors or while th e engine is hot o r running. Exting uish cigarett es, c igars , pipes an ot her s o urces of ignition.
10 NOTE: Keep it in a safe place . Engine will not st art without igniti on key. Wipe all s now and mo isture from th e carb uretor co ver in th e area of th e contr ol lev ers.
11 Figure 9 Shift Rod Adjustment To adjust the s hift rod, pr oceed as fol lows: • Remove the hairpin cli p and slide the sh ift rod conne ctor up, to se parate the up per shift r od from the lower shift rod. See Fi gure 10 . • Place the shift lever into the sixth (6) po sition.
12 Electric Chute-Rotati on Motor The gear on the el ectric chute-rota tion moto r and the base of the dis charge chute itself should be l ubed with multi-p urpose au tomotive gr ease once a seaso n.

14 • Remove the plastic belt c over on the front of the engin e by removing the two self -tapping screws. • Tip the s now thrower up and fo rward, so th at it rest s on the housi ng. • Remove six se lf-tappi ng scre ws from the f rame cove r underneath th e snow thr ower.
15 • Reasse mble new fricti on wheel rubber to the frictio n wheel ass embly, ti ghtening the six screw s in rotation and with equal for ce. • Insert the pin from the s hift arm as sembly into th e frictio n wheel as sembly and hold as sembly in position .
