1 About Y our Modem.
About Y our Modem 1-2 About Y our Modem Jacks Jacks are one-hole connecting interfaces on your modem card. They allo w you to attach other de vices to your card. Jacks are found on the rear panel of your modem card. The jacks on your modem card can be seen in Figure 1-1.

Modem F eatur es 5-3 QuickConnect This feature drastically reduces the amount of time it takes to establish a connection wit h your Internet Service Provider . The characteristics of the last call are sa ved in your computer , and retrie ved for subsequent calls, resulting in a short er connection time.
