8 - ENG D22130 Assemble Wheels It will be necessary to brace or support one side of the outfit when installing the wheels because the compressor will have a tendency to tip. 1. Attach wheels with shoulder bolts and nuts as shown. Unpacking 1. Remove all packaging leaving the air compressor on the pallet.
9 - ENG D22130 GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK. In the event of a short circuit, gr ounding reduces the risk of shock by providing an escape wir e for the electric current.
10 - ENG D22130 OPERA TION Description of Operation Become familiar with these controls befor e operating the unit. On/Auto/Off Switch : T ur n this switch ON to provide automatic power to the pressur e switch and OFF to remove power at the end of each use.
11 - ENG D22130 How to Start 1. T urn the On/Auto/Off lever to “AUTO” and allow tank pressur e to build. Motor will stop when tank pressur e reaches “cut-out” pr essure. 2. Pull the regulator knob out and turn clockwise to increase pr essure. When the desired pr essure is reached push knob in to lock in place.
12 - ENG D22130 Air Filter - Inspection and Replacement Hot surfaces. Risk of burn. Compressor heads are exposed when filter cover is r emoved. Allow compressor to cool prior to servicing. A dirty air filter will not allow the compressor to oper- ate at full capacity .
13 - ENG D22130 3. If dirty , rinse air filter with warm water and squeeze dry . 4. Replace air filter and air filter cover . NOTE: If the air filter is extremely dirty it will need to be replaced. Refer to the “Repair Parts” for the cor- rect part number .
14 - ENG D22130 6. Using an adjustable wrench loosen pr essure r elief tube nut at air tank. Carefully move pr essure r elief tube away from check valve. 7. Unscrew the check valve (turn counterclockwise) using a 7/8” open end wrench. Note the orienta- tion for reassembly .
15 - ENG D22130 6. Assemble the regulator and orient as shown. NOTE : Arrow indicates flow of air . Make sure it is pointing in the direction of air flow . 7. Reapply pipe sealant to outlet pressur e gauge and quick connect. 8. Reassemble outlet pressur e gauge and quick connect.
TROUBLESHOOTING Performing repairs may expose voltage sour ces, moving parts or compressed air sour ces, moving parts or compressed air sour ces. Personal injury may occur . Prior to attempting any repairs, unplug the air compr essor and bleed off all air tank air pressur e.
17-Eng D22130 PROBLEM CAUSE CORRECTION Possible defect in safety valve. Operate safety valve manually by pulling on ring. If valve still leaks, it should be replaced. Defective check valve. Remove and clean, or replace. Knocking Noise. Compressor is not supplying enough air to operate accessories.
18 - ENG D22130 Motor will not run. Fuse blown, circuit br eaker tripped. 1. Check fuse box for blown fuse and replace as necessary . Reset circuit br eaker . Do not use a fuse or circuit br eaker with higher rating than that specified for your particular branch circuit.

25 - SP D22130 Ensamble de las ruedas Será necesario soportar un lado del equipo cuando se instalan las ruedas porque el compr esor tenderá a voltearse. 1. Fije las ruedas con pernos con resalto y tuercas como se muestra. Desempaque 1. Retire todo el material de empaque dejando al compr e- sor de aire sobr e la tarima.
26 - SP D22130 INSTRUCCIONES P ARA CONECT AR A TIERRA RIESGO DE DESCARGA ELÉCTRICA Ante la eventualidad de un cortocircuito, la conexión a tierra reduce el riesgo de electr ocución proveyendo un conductor de escape para la corriente eléctrica. Este compresor de air e debe estar adecuadamente conectado a tierra.
27 - SP D22130 Válvula de drenaje: La válvu- la de drenaje se encuentra ubicada sobre la base del tanque de aire y se usa para drenar la condensación al fin de cada uso Sistema de enfriamiento (no mostrado): Este compresor contiene un sistema de avanzada para el control de enfri- amiento.
28 - SP D22130 Cómo poner en marcha 1. Mueva la palanca On/Auto/Off a la posición "AUTO" y deje que se incremente la presión del tanque. El motor se detendrá una vez alcanzado el valor de presión "de corte" del tanque. 2. Tire de la perilla del regulador y gire en sentido horario para incrementar la presión.
29 - SP D22130 Cómo verificar la válvula de seguridad Si la válvula de seguridad no trabaja adecuadamente, ello podrá determinar la sobrepr esión del tanque, cre- ando el riesgo de su ruptura o explosión.
30 - SP D22130 3. Si está sucio enjuague el filtro de air e con agua tibia y exprímalo hasta que seque. 4. V uelva a colocar el filtro de aire y su cubierta. NOT A: Si el filtro de air e está sumamente sucio necesitará ser reemplazado. Consulte la sección "Repuestos" para obtener el número corr ecto de la pieza.
31 - SP D22130 Para reemplazar o limpiar la válvula de retención 1. Libere toda la pr esión del tanque de aire. V ea "Cómo Drenar el T anque" en la sección "Mantenimiento". 2. Desenchufe el equipo. 3. Usando un destornillador Phillips retire la cubierta del filtro de air e.
32 - SP D22130 6. Ensamble el regulador y oriéntelo de acuer do a lo mostrado NOT A : La flecha indica el sentido del flujo del air e. Asegúrese que esté apuntando a la dir ección en la que fluye el aire. 7. Reaplique sellador de cañerías al manómetro de presión externa y a la conexión rápida.
33 - SP D22130 GUÍA DE DIAGNÓSTICO DE PROBLEMAS El desarrollo de r eparaciones puede exponer a sitios con corriente viva, partes en movimiento o fuentes de aire comprimido que podrían ocasionar lesiones personales. Antes de intentar reparación alguna, desenchufe el compr esor de aire y pur gue toda la presión de aire del tanque.
34 - SP D22130 PROBLEMA CAUSA CORRECCIÓN Posible defecto en la válvula de seguridad. Opere la válvula de seguridad manual- mente tirando de su anillo. Si la válvula aun pierde, deberá ser r eemplazada. Posible defecto en la válvula de seguridad.
35 - SP D22130 El motor no funciona. Fusible quemado, disyuntor abierto. 1. Inspeccione la caja de fusibles para determinar si hay fusibles quemados y reemplácelos según sea necesario. Reajuste el disyuntor . No use un fusible o disyuntor con capacidad mayor que la especificada para su circuito especificado.
