The Agilent T echnologies 81200 data generator/analyzer platform The A gilent 81200 is a modular plat- form consisting of front-ends, mod- ules, mainframes and user int erfaces, which can be tailored to your specific test needs. This guide aims t o help you choose the right components.

4 Expander frames F or more module slots, one or tw o Agilent E4848B expander frames can be connect ed. To do this, a VXI exten- der module (Agilent E4849B Opt 002) is required. The module occupies one of t he ot herwise free slots and is con- nected to a cor responding VXI exten- der t hat is supplied as par t of the expander frame.

8 Upgrading an existing Agilent 81200 data generator/analyzer platform The A gilent 81200 Dat a Generat or/ Analyzer Platform can be extended or adapted as needed. Front-ends, mod- ules and expander frames can be added at any time. Orders for individ- ual units are supplied wit h t he inst al- lation instr uctions.
9 Systems needing more than ten module slots The A gilent E4849B mainframe can be ext ended using the Agilent E4848B expander frame. The maximum con- figuration with one expander is: • Agilent E4849.
