Shut off pow er at main fuse disconnect prior to ser vicing. Ensure kettle is at room temperature and pressure gauge is showing z ero or less prior to removing any fittings . Inspect unit daily f or proper operation. 0 Do not fill kettle abo v e recommended le v el marked on outside of k ettle.
GENERAL Installation of the kettle must be accomplished by qualified electrical installation personnel working to all applicable local and national codes. Improper installation of pr oduct could cause injury or damage. This equipment is built to comply with applicable standards for manufactur ers.
RECOMMENDED FLOOR DRAIN DET AIL ASSEMBL Y Position the kettle in it's permanent location, and level the kettle by turning the adjustable flanged feet. Once positioned and leveled, permanently secure the kettle's flanged feet to the floor using 5/16" lag bolts and floor anchors (supplied by the installer).
INST ALLA TION CHECKS Although the kettle has been thoroughly tested before leaving the factory , the installer is responsible for ensuring the pr oper operation of kettle once installed. Visual Checks 1. Check Tilting (tilting kettles): A / Gearbox tilts kettle smoothly and freely .

CARE AND CLEANING Cooking equipment must be cleaned regularly to maintain its fast, efficient cooking performance and to ensure its continued safe, r eliable operation. The best time to clean is shortly after each use (allow unit to cool to a safe temperature).

Cleveland Range equipment requir es little preventative maintenance. W e do however provide the following chart as a guideline for inspection and maintenance to keep your unit functioning at 100%. INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE CHECK LIST The following check should be completed every six months or more frequently if unit is in a high volume facility .
CALIBRA TING PROCEDURE 1. Insure the unit has a vacuum befor e you begin calibrating procedur es. If unit requir es venting refer to Kettle V enting Instructions. 2. Set On-Off Switch/T emperature Contr ol to " 10 " ( Max.). 3. Allow the unit to cycle twice.
3. Pull Pressur e Relief V alve (A) open to insur e vessel is not pressurized. 4. Remove Pressur e Relief V alve (A). 5. Replace Pressur e Relief V alve (A) with Str eet Elbow (B). 6. Add distilled water (C) through the Str eet Elbow (B), using a funnel if necessary .
LUBRICA TION PROCEDURE Lubricate the following parts ever y three months to insure smooth operation and r educe wear . TRUNNION HOUSING , WORM SCREW AND TIL T GEAR These parts are accessed through the top cover of the console. Apply grease to gear teeth.
KETTLE JACKET CLEANOUT AND P ASSIV A TION PROCEDURES The following procedur e should be preformed at least once every three years to prevent possible corr osion and ensure the optimum life of the kettle. DESCRIPTION - Molyfilm 315 inhibits corrosion in stainless steel and copper .
Fault Isolation Pr ocedur e Step T est 1. Is there pr oper incoming voltage at terminal block? 2. Is the red LED illuminated? 3. Is the green LED illuminated? 4. Do both contactors energize? 5. Measure continuity acr oss safety thermostat. Is it an open circuit? 6.
Fault Isolation Pr ocedur e Step T est 1. In a cold state, does the pressur e gauge read in the gr een zone? 2. Do the contactors shut off too early? (before r eaching normal maximum operating pressur e.) 3. Does the green LED r emain illuminated after the contactors shut off? 4.
5. Remove kettle thermistor and allow to cool. Remove edge connector from control box. T est r esistance across edge connector's pins #2 and #7. Is it approximately 100,000 ohms? 6. T ur n the potentiometer on the control box clockwise to increase the maximum operating temperature.
