INTRODUCTION The Clarion VMA1041 is a full-featured 10.4" LCD Color Display Monitor. It can be used as: • A stand-alone TV when used with the optional TV T uner , TTX001 • A monitor integrate.
• For safety, install the set in a position at which the driver cannot see it. • Do not disassemble or modify the set. Doing so may damage it and voids your warranty. • Keep drinks and drops from umbrellas away from the set. Water may dam- age the internal circuitry.

INSTALLA TION AND WIRING Befor e Y ou Begin: 1. This monitor is exclusively for use in cars with a 12V negative ground power supply . 2. Read these instructions carefully. 3. Be sure to disconnect the battery’s negative terminal before starting. This is to prevent short circuits during installation.
AUXILIAR Y VIDEO INPUTS OPERA TION The VMA1041 is equipped with two auxiliary A/V Inputs. 1. Plug the A V1 Audio/Video Input cord into the A V1 and/or A V2 input jacks. 2. Connect Audio/Video Connectors to the Auxiliary Source. 3. Press the Input Selection button on the unit or remote control until VIDEO 1 or VIDEO 2 is displayed.
OPTIONAL REMOTE CONTROL OPERA TION • T o use the remote control, press the Power button to turn on the remote. • Press the TV/VIDEO button to select the source to be controlled by the remote. • The VOL(ume) +/- buttons and the MUTE button control the TV volume.
TV TUNING If using the TTX001 with the VMA1041, follow these directions to control the TV functions: 1. Be sure TV is chosen as the source to be controlled. 2. Press the Auto Memory button on the remote control to scan available channels. 3. For station adjustments, press the Channel Up and Down buttons on the remote control.
Problem: Picture does not appear. Solution: • The TV T uner is not set to TV mode (when using the TTX001) – Set the function to TV mode. • The TV T uner is set to VTR mode (when using the TTX001) – In the VTR mode, no picture appears if no video signal is being input to the VIDEO IN terminal of the tuner.
