Handling Compact Discs This unit has been designed specifically for playback of compact discs bearing the mark. No other discs can be played. T o remove the compact disc from its storage case, press down on the center of the case and lift the disc out, holding it carefully by the edges.

14 English DB178RMP / DB179RMP / DB179RGMP RDS Operations Setting the T A standby mode If you press the [ T A ] button when only “ TP ” is lit in the display , “ TP ” and “ T A ” light in the display and the unit is set into the T A standby mode until a traffic announcement is broadcast.
15 English DB178RMP / DB179RMP / DB179RGMP File extensions Always add a file extension “ .MP3 ” or “ .WMA ” to MP3 or WMA file by using single character letters. If you add a file extension other than specified or forget to add the file extension, the file cannot be played.
16 English DB178RMP / DB179RMP / DB179RGMP Backup eject function Pressing the [ ] button ejects the disc even if the power to the unit was not turned on. Remove the disc after it is ejected. Notes: If you force a CD into before auto reloading, this can damage the CD.

T o select the next type, press the [ D ] button again. Loading a CD Insert a CD into the center of the CD SLOT with the labeled side facing up.

OFF: This unit continues normal operation even when the cellular phone is used.
