— 15 — 3. PREP ARA TION 3.1 Connecting the AC Power Cord 1. T urn off the printer power switch. 2. For AC power type (with built-in power supply), connect the AC power cord to the AC inlet at the back of the printer and plug the AC power cord into the wall outlet.

Orient the interface cable terminal correctly and insert it into the interface connector .

— 21 — 4. MAINTENANCE AND TROUBLESHOOTING 4.1 Setting/Replacing the paper roll 4.2 Removing Jammed Paper 1. T urn the printer power off. 2. Open the printer cover . If the cutter blade remains protruded with paper jammed, do not force the printer cover to open.
— 22 — 4.3 Cleaning the Print Head 1. T urn the printer power off. 2. Open the printer cover . 3. W ait several minutes. Wipe off any debris on the heating element of the head using a cotton swab soaked in ethyl alcohol. CAUTION! The print head is hot immediately after printing.
— 23 — 4.5 Hexadecimal Dump Printing This function is to print all received data in hexadecimal numbers. If problems such as missing data, data duplication, etc. should occur , this function allows checking whether or not the printer is receiving data correctly .
