2 OPERATING INSTRUCTION EXTERNAL BYP ASS SWITCH MBS 2000 MBS 3000.
3 1 General The extern al, manu ally opera ted bypass unit is an option for the PROTECT B., C. and C.R UPS series. It is us ed for isolating the UPS, for exampl e for maintena nce purpo ses, whilst th e connected lo ads cont inue to be supplied without interruption.

5 The gluing points must be dry and free from grease. The adhesiv e pads d o not dev elop thei r full s trength until after a curing time of approx. 24 hours. Do no t apply any mechanical load t o the externa l bypass un it during this time. Pr ess the unit on firmly a t the star t.
6 4 Connection (electrical) If you have alre ady taken the U PS into operatio n then switch it off as the firs t step. Now di sconnec t the UPS fr om the mains by disconnecting the mains connector. Before you perform the installa tion desc ribed b elow, m ake sure that none of the cables are live.
