3. Setup 6 11/10/2010 3:19 PM 3. S ETUP AC Power This fixture runs on 100~240 VAC, 50/60 Hz. Before powering on the unit, make sure the line voltage to which you are connecting it is within the range of accepted voltages.
3. Setup 7 11/10/2010 3:19 PM Mounting Orientation The Abyss™ LED 2.0 may be mounted in any position, provided there is adequate ro om for ventilation. Rigging Be sure that the structure can support the wei ght of the fixture. Pl ease see the “Technical Specifications” section of this m anual for a detailed weight listing.
4. Operating Instructions 8 11/10/2010 3:19 PM 4. O PERATING I NSTRUCTIONS Configuring the Starting Address The Abyss™ LED 2.0 fixture uses tw o DMX channels. The highest channel that the fixture ma y be set to in order to function properly is 511 .
4. Operating Instructions 9 11/10/2010 3 :19 PM Standalone This fixture has p reprogrammed operating modes . These are accessed via the DIP switches on the back of the fixture. DIP switch [10] must be OFF in this mode. Please see the chart below for further explanation.

5. Appendix 11 11/10/2010 3:19 PM DMX Primer There are 512 channels in a DMX connection. A fixt ure capable of receiving DMX will require one or a number of sequential channels. The user must assign a starting address on the fi xture that indicates the first channel reserved in the cont roller.
5. Appendix 12 11/10/2010 3:19 PM Cable Connectors Cabling must have a male XLR connector on one end and a female XLR connector on the other end. Do not allow contact be twe en the common and the fixture’s ch assis ground. Grounding the common can caus e a ground loop, and y our fixture may perform erra tically.
5. Appendix 13 11/10/2010 3:19 PM 3-Pin to 5-Pin Conversion Chart If you use a controller with a 5-pin DMX output connector, you will ne ed to use a 5-pin t o 3-pin adapter.
5. Appendix 14 11/10/2010 3:19 PM General Maintenance To maintain optimum performance and minimize wear, fixtures should be cleaned frequently. Usage and environment are contributing factors in determining frequency. As a general rule, fixtures should be cleaned at least twice a month.
