3 4. Catalog Keys: The NexStar has a key on th e hand con trol to allow direct acce ss to each of th e catalo gs in its 4,000+ obje ct databa se. The Nex Star contai ns the follow ing ca talog s in its databas e: Messier – Complete list of all Me ssie r objects.

This is useful f or knowing t he right ascension o f celesti al object s that are located on the local meridian at th at time. Filter Limits – W hen an ali gnment is co mplete, the NexS tar auto matically kno ws which cele stia l objects are above the horizon.
