3 Using your Extractor For best performance, y ou should switch on the extractor 15 minutes before starting to cook and leave it to run f or approximately 15 minutes after the end of cooking.
4 Care and Maintenanc e IMPORT ANT : DO NO T PERFORM MAINTENANCE OR CLEANING OF THE EXTRACTOR WITHOUT FIRST SWIT CHING OFF THE ELECTRICIT Y SUPPL Y . Cleaning Y ou should use a nonabrasive cleaner . Any abrasive cleaner (including Cif ) will scratch the surface and could erase the control panel markings.

6 Changing the Light DO NOT CHANGE THE LIGHT BULB IMMEDIA TEL Y AFTER USE AS THE BULB WILL BE HOT . ALLOW IT TO C OOL BEFORE REMOVING IT . Using a at blade screwdriv er , carefully prise o the lamp cover as shown in gure 4. Remove the bulb and replac e with a 12V 20W halogen light bulb.

8 Electrical I nformation Mains electrical voltage: 230 – 240V ac, 50Hz T otal rated power consumption: 330W T roubleshooting If your extractor is not working: 1. Check that the mains supply has not been switched o . 2. Check that the fuse in the spur has not blown.
9 Mounting your Extractor IMPORT ANT : The extractor is intended to be mounted directly to the ceiling using xings appropriate for the ceiling . Ensure that there is adequat e ceiling strength and supports at the xing points; if in doubt, consult a joiner or electrician.
10 Installation Note: We r ecommend that you seek the help of another individual when installing this product. Preparing the extractor The electronic control bo x and ventilation pipe need to be tted to the motor body bef ore proceeding with the install.
11 Installation Assembling the extractor ready for mounting: 1. Place the extractor body on a table and x the support sec tions (D) using the supplied screws (E) as shown in g 11 below . 2. Remove the screws(A ) fastening the lower and upper(B) support sections as shown in g 12 below .
12 Installation Assembling the extractor ready for mounting: 4. Assemble the upper (B) and lower (C) support sections at the desired height (as calculated in step 3) using the supplied scr ews (G) as shown in g 13.
13 Installation Mounting the extractor to the ceiling: 1. Using the supplied template , drill four holes in the ceiling and t suitable wall plugs into the holes, if required . Note that plugs may not be required if the extractor is to be mounted directly to the ceiling joists.
14 Installation Mounting the extractor to the ceiling: 4. Recirculating mode: If the extractor is to be used as a recirculation device, ltering the air before recycling into the kitchen then the vent diverter needs to be tted. Fit the div erter(M) to the upper suppor t section using screw (I) and connect the ventilation pipe (H).
