— ix — PRECAUTIONS FOR HANDLING Obser ve the following precautions to use the CBM1000 Printer cor r ectly and avoid troubles from occurring. • Do not use any other power supply than the specified AC adapter . • Do not allow the printer to start printing when there is no recording paper installed.

— 10 — 4. OPERA TION 4.1 Connecting the AC Adapter and AC Power Cord 1 Turn off the power of the printer. 2 For the AC adapter type only: With the flat side of the AC adapter’s cable connector facing upward, insert the cable connector into the power connector on the back side of the printer.
