Network Requirements Bef ore connecting the machine to the netw ork, mak e sure that configuration of the computer and access point or r outer is complete, and that the computer is connected to the netw ork.

Important Information Y ou Need Befor e Adding Y our Multifunction The following information is required to connect to your access p oint or router. • Access Point Name/Network Name: Also referred to as SSID .

Step Five Select the access point name, then press the OK button. NOTE : If you are livin g in an apartment, nearby access points in use may be detected. Step Six When one of the following screens is displayed, enter the network key using the Numeric buttons (E), then press the OK bu tton.
Step Eight When the connected to the access point screen appears, press the OK button. The S etup menu screen returns. NOTE: If Failed to connect to the access point . appears, press the OK button, make sure that the network key is correct, then enter it again.
Step One On the Setup menu , select Devic e Settings , and then press the OK bu tto n. IMPORTANT: Confirm co nnection status after installing the machin e in the target location. Step Four Click Ea sy Install . Click Insta ll . The dri vers, application software, and on -screen manu als are installed all together. Step Three Enter your administrator name and password. Click OK . If you do not know your administrator name or password, click Help , then follow the on-screen instruction s.
Step Six Select Use the printer o n network , then click Next . Follow any on-screen instructions to proceed with the software installatio n. Step Five Click Insta ll * Applications may vary by model .

Step Two 2-A 1. Select Canon IJ Network in the pop-up menu , select Canon MXxxx series in the list of printers, then click Add . *xxx refers to the model number.

Step Three When the Register Printer a nd Scanner screen appears, click Register S canner . Step Two 2-B 4. Make sure that the Canon MXxxx series is added to the list of printers.
Step Five Click Next on the Register Printer and Scan ner screen. Step Four Select Canon MXxxx seri es on the Scan-from-PC Settings screen, then click OK .

If the Exte nded Survey Program screen appears: If yo u can agree to Extended Survey Program, click Agree. If y ou click Do not agree , the Extended Survey Program will not be installed . (This h as no effect on the machine's functionality.). Step Eight If the User Registr ation screen appears, read the information and click Next or Can cel .
Step Nine Click Exit. Setup is complete *It is necess ary to restart the computer before scanning using the Operation Panel on the machine for the first time.
