Network Requirements Bef ore connecting the machine to the netw ork, mak e sure that configura tion of the computer and access point or router is complete, and that t he computer is c onnected to the netw ork. Softwar e Installa tion To use the m achine by connecting it to a computer, software inclu ding the d rivers needs to be copied (installed) to the compu ter 's hard disk. The installatio n process takes about 20 minutes. (The installation tim e varies depending on the computer environment or the number of application software to be installed.
Softwar e Installa tion Do no t co nnect the wireless LAN setup cable yet. Software installatio n requires temporary use of the wireless LAN setup cable. Ins talling the Driver s & Softw are 6 Step One Turn on the computer, then insert the Setup CD - ROM into the CD-ROM drive.

Step Eight When the Set Up New Printer screen appears, click Next . Note: If the Detected Printers List screen appears, click Set Up N ew Printer. Step Seven Make sure the machine is turned on, then click OK .

Step Five Click Next on the Register Printer and Scan ner screen. Wireless setup is n ow complete. Step Four Select Canon MXxxx seri es on the Scan-from-PC Settings screen, then click OK .

If the Exte nded Survey Program screen appears: If yo u can agree to Extended Survey Program, click Agree. If y ou click Do not agree , the Extended Survey Program will not be installed .
Step Nine Click Exit. Setup is complete *It is necess ary to restart th e computer b efore scanning using the Operation Panel on the machine for the first time.
