S et-Up Instruc tions S et-Up Instruc tions Thank you f or purchasing Canon imageCLASS MF5770. T o get your machine ready for netw ork and printer functions, please follow the instructions in this document before ref erring to any other documentation.
T o U se the Machine as a Local P rint er (USB C onnection) IMPORT ANT • Do not connect the USB cable before installing the software. If y ou connect the USB cable before installing the soft- ware and the F ound New Hardw are Wizard screen appears, click [C ancel] and disconnect the USB cable.
7 When the MF Drivers Setup screen appears , click [ Y es] and follow the instructions on the screen. 8 When the installation is complete , click [Exit] to close the MF Drivers Setup screen. 9 On the MF Setup screen, click [Install MF T oolbox]. 10 When the MF T oolbox Setup screen appears , click [Next] and follow the instructions on the screen.
NO TE • Before installing MF T oolbox, mak e sure that all other applications are closed and that any anti-virus software on your computer is disabled . 11 When the installation is complete , click [Exit] to close the MF T oolbox Setup screen. 12 Make sure the machine ’ s power is turned on.
T o Use the Machine as a Netw ork Prin ter (Netw ork C onnec tion) IMPORT ANT • The machine needs to be restarted for the specified settings to become effectiv e. T o restar t the machine, disconnect the power c ord , wait for at least 10 seconds, and connect the power c ord again.
C onnecting the Machine to a Network 1 Connect a Category 5 rated (Cat 5) twisted-pair LAN cable to the 10Base-T/100Base-TX por t on the back of the machine. Connect the other end of the cable to a network rout er or a hub . Checking Network Settings 1 Pr ess [Menu] ➝ or to select <6.
6 When the MF Network Driv ers - Setup Wizard screen appears, click [Nex t] and follow the instructions on the screen. 7 Select the target machine in the Device List ➝ click [Nex t].
