Loading Paper 2-5 P aper Handling 2 4 Load the paper stac k in the cassette with the print side down. When you load pap er with a logo on, posi tion the paper with t he print side down (logo side) and load it so that the top of the paper feeds first in the cassette.

Replacing the Cartridge 8-15 Maintenance 8 4 Rock th e cartridg e 5 or 6 times to distrib ute the toner e venl y . 5 Place the cartridge on a flat and stable surface. Fold the tab (A) on the sealing tape (B) as sho wn belo w , and pull it out straight while supporting the car tridge.
Replacing the Cartridge 8-16 Maintenance 8 6 Hold the cartridge and align the projections (A) on both sides of the cartridge to the guides (B) in the machine, then gently slide the cartridge into the machine as far as it will go. Be sure to position the arrow mark (C) on the cartridge towards the inside of the machine.
Repacking and Transporting Your Machine 8-17 Maintenance 8 Repacking and T ransporting Y our Machine Be sure to unplu g the power cord before transpor ting the machine. If the machine is likely to be subjected to vibr ation (e. g., when transporting ov er long distances), the f ollowing pr ecautions should be tak en.
