ENG-4 2. Setting the Focus Mode ¡ Do not touch the rotating par ts of the lens while autofocus is activ e. ¡ Do not adjust focus manually when the f ocus mode switch is set to AF . To shoot in autof ocus (AF) mode, set the f ocus mode switch to AF .

Tips on Using the Image Stabilizer The image stabilizer in this lens is eff ective f or hand-held shots under the f ollowing conditions. ¡ In semi-darkened areas such as indoors or outdoors at night. ¡ In locations where flash photograph y is prohibited, such as ar t museums and theater stages.
ENG-9 Tips on Using the Image Stabilizer ¡ When you use a tripod, the Image Stabilizer should be turned off to sav e battery power . ¡ The stabilizer is equally eff ective f or hand- held photograph y and photograph y with a monopod. ¡ The image stabilizer function also operates when the lens is used with an Extension T ube EF12 ll or EF25 ll.
