ENG-6 6. Depth-of-Field Scale The depth of field is the distance in front of and behind the plane of focus on the subject that appears sharp. The depth of field is indicated by the area between the depth-of-field scale lines below the distance scale. The number on the scale is the F v alue.
ENG-7 7. Picture T aking • Image quality deteriorates near the minimum aper ture opening due to diffraction. • The magnification refers to the r atio between the subject’ s size and the corresponding image size on the focal plane . On the distance index, it is indicated as 1:x.
ENG-8 8. About Exposure • The correct exposure f or a close-up shot largely depends on the subject. Therefore, it is recommended to take se veral shots of the same subject at different e xposures.

Macr o Flash (Sold Separately) The Canon Macro Ring Lite MR-14EX or the Macro T win Lite MT -24EX enables fully automatic macro flash photograph y up to 1x magnification in E-TTL autoflash mode. Install the Macro Lite Adapter 72C (sold separately) on the filter mounting thread on the front of the lens for macro flash photog raphy .
