3 1. Introduction This is a 10/100/1000Mbp s Gigabit Ethernet PCI Ad apter that provides high performa nce of wired network connectivity for your Desktop PC . It complies with IEEE 802.3x Full Duplex Flow Control, data is receiv ed and transmitted smoothly from and to the network.
1.2 Minimum System Requirements z Pentium compatible pr ocessor 200 MHz and above z 32 MB system memory or more z 30 MB free space on your hard drive z CD-ROM drive z One available PCI slot z Windows NT4.0, Windows 98/98SE, Wi ndows ME, Wind ows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 , or Linux OS.
3. Software Driver Installation Insert Gigabit PCI Adapter Installation CD into CD-ROM drive then window b elow will appear. Install Driver: Click Install Driver to start Gigabit PCI Adapter instal lation process.
Step 2: The Welcome screen will di spl ay as below. Click “Next” to continue. Step 3: Click “Install” to begin the install ation. 6.
Step 4: Please wait for while setup wizard is installing the PCI driver. Step 5: After the driver is installed successfu lly, click “Finish” to exit the wizard.
Step 6: To check if Gigabit PCI Adapter is properly installed: Right-click “My Computer” on the De sktop Î Choose “Prop erties” Î Select “Dev ice Manager” Windows Vista/XP/2000/ME/98SE Step 1: Insert installation CD into CD-ROM and window bel ow will appear.
Step 2: Please wait for while during the setup program is setup/ refresh the device driver. Step 3: The welcome scre en of setup p rogram will appear a s bel o w.
Step 4: Click “ Install ” to begin the installation. Step 5: Please wait for while setup wizard is installing the PCI driver. 10.
Step 6: After install wizard has successf ully installed the PCI driver, click “ Finish ” to exit the wizard. Step 7: For Windows ME and 98SE Operation Syste m, you mu st restart your co mputer befo re you can use the program. Select “ Yes, I want to restart my computer ” and click “ OK ” to restart.
Step 9: To check if Gigabit PCI Adapter is properly installed: For Windows Vista: Right-click “ My Computer ” on the Deskto p Î Choose “ Properties ” Î Select “ Device Manager ” For Wind.
For Windows ME/98SE: Right-click “ M y Computer ” on the Desktop Î Choo se “ Properties ” Î Click “ Device Manager … ” 3.3 For Windows 98 First Edition When system boots up first time with new Gigabit PCI adapter present s, Windows operation system will detect new hardw are and ask for hard wa re driver.
14 3.5 For Linux 1) Login to Linux after install new Gigab it PCI Adapter. 2) Put Gigabit PCI Adapter installation CD from produ ct packa ge into CD-ROM drive and go to device driver CD location, and th en find your new Gigabit PCI Adapter. Example: For IC Plus Æ E:DRIVERIC_PLUSLinux _Kernel 2.
