30 About Log Files The resul ts of reco gnition perf ormed with the ba rcode detec tion functi on or OCR fun ction can be saved as a log file in the CSV fo rmat. To save a lo g file, sele ct the Write Log File check box in the app ropriate tab of the Barcode/O CR LogSettin g dialog box show n below, and the n specif y a desti nation lo g file.

32 About Other Function s Captur ePerfect provides the "Save Ro tated Imag e" and "Sav e As Two Ima ges" func tions tha t save scan ned images after spe cified rot ation, or a fter splitting into top a nd bott om or left and right halv es, resp ectively .
33 Rotate Right 9 0°: Scanned im ages ar e rotated 9 0° clockw ise before saving. Save As Two Images By spli tting an i mage, two s eparate im ages are created fro m each o ne scann ed, by sp litting i t either horizon tally or v ertically b efore savi ng.

38 Scan Batch to File (Saves scanned images to a specified file) Scan Batc h to File saves s canned i mages to a fi le or f iles with a name and type sp ecified b efore sca nning. Scan Batc h to File is perform ed by the following steps: 1 Click the b utton, or click Scan Batch to F ile in the Sca n menu.
39 • Skip, C ontinue Sc anning When a "Patch II" patch code sheet is foun d, the image on the patch co de sheet is saved, and s canning continues. When a "Patch T" patch co de sheet is found, the image on the patch code she et is not saved.
40 Scan Batch to P rinter (Pri nts scanned images) With Sca n Batch to Printer s canning, scanned images are printed directly to the spe cified pr inter. (Imag es are not s aved with Scan Batch to Printer.) Not e To sav e and p rint scan ned imag es, use Scan Batch to Fi le ( → P.

55 Saving an Image This pro cedure saves open imag e files w ith a sp ecified name. Not e If mu ltiple imag e files a re open , all page s are sav ed. 61 Adjusting Brightness of the Displayed Image You can adjust th e brightnes s and c ontrast of t he displ ayed ima ge. Select Bri ghtness in the Edit menu to o pen the Brightness Ad justmen t dialog b ox. Movin g the slid ers left a nd right ad justs the brightnes s and co ntrast of th e displa yed ima ge.
62 Inserting/Adding Pages to an Image File Pages c an be inserte d and add ed to TIFF o r PDF files. For the imag e to insert /add, you can specify an ima ge from the scanne r or a file saved w ith Captur ePerfect. 1 Open the TIFF or PDF file i n which to i nsert the page .

65 Replacing a Page in an Image File You can repl ace a page in a s aved multi -page TIFF or PDF file. For the re placement im age, you can specify an ima ge from the scanner or a file s aved with CapturePe rfect. 1 Open the TIFF or PDF file i n which to i nsert the page .
