Thank you for purchasing this Cambridge Audio TT50 turntable. We hope that you will enjoy many years of listening pleasure from it. The TT50 has been jointly dev eloped between Cambridge Audio and Pro-Ject and f eatures sev eral parts unique to this model such as a proprietary arm with non contact magnetic anti-skate.

Overloading Do not ov erload wall outlets or e xtension cor d as this can result in a risk of fire or electric shock. Overloaded AC outlets, e xtension cor ds, fra yed power cor ds, damaged or crack ed wire insulation, and brok en plugs are dangerous.
Before using y our TT50 for the first time it is necessary to remov e the transit screws and fit the drive belt, platt er and lid. Please very carefully remove the parts separately from the packaging. 1. First remove the two red transport screws which secure the motor during transportation.
2. Carefully rotate the count erweight until the armtube balances out, i.e. floats horizontally parallel to the surface of the turntable. The arm should return to the balanced position if it is mo ved up or down. This adjustment must be done carefully .

8 Operating instructions Playing records The TT50 is compatible with 33 1/3rpm and 45rpm records betw een 7” and 12”. Place the record o ver the spindle holding the recor d only by its outermost edge.
4. Now turn the platter b y hand and place the stylus tip at position B. Again look directly from abov e to see if the cartridge body sides are parallel to the lines on the pr otractor . 5. If the car tridge body sides are not parallel to the lines on the protract or , mo ve the cartridge body back in the headshell a little (a millimetre or so).
10 Adjusting the azimuth The car tridge needle must be vertical in the record groo ve in or der to trace the groo ve wall modulations correctly . A small screw at the bearing end of the arm allows incorrect azimuth t o be corrected if your needle is no t mounted e xactly perpendicular to the car tridge body (which can be the case).
11 T T50 The platter doesn't turn although the unit is switched on The unit is not connected t o the pow er supply unit. No mains at the socket. Drive belt is not fitt ed or has slipped off. No signal through one or other channel or both channels Possible Wiring fault.
