Incognito A-BUS keypad 3 Thank you for purchasing this Cambridge Audio Incognito product. Incognito is a cost-effective, modular based system using standard Cat-5 or Cat-6 cable to distribute hi-fi quality sound and video around a home.
The KP10 k eypad can be used in two main configurations: 1. As par t of a full Incognito system, where it is plugged int o an Incognito hub (AH1 0), perhaps with other Incognito accessories such as a video switching unit (VH1 0) or local input module (LM10) fitt ed.

A-BUS Ready / Incognito Ready For use with an A-BUS Ready/Incognito R eady unit (see diagram opposite) the Mode switch MUST be in the "Standar d A-BUS/Incognito Ready" position as shown belo w: In this configuration the keypad is wired directly t o the amplifier/receiver .

8 Incognito KP1 0 The KP10 is fitt ed on the wall by fixing it int o a standard UK 4 7mm depth single-gang electrician’s back-box (pattress). All knock -outs in the back-box should be remo ved t o provide maximum ventilation.
Incognito A-BUS keypad 9 Safety precautions Care should be taken when choosing the sit e for a KP1 0, the keypad must nev er be installed in a back-box which also contains mains wiring or in areas of high humidity . The KP10 runs on 2 4 V DC supplied through the connecting cable.
Cat5 to KP10 punch down connectors A Cat-5 cable (t erminated with an RJ45 jack plug) is used to connect the KP1 0 to an AH1 0 hub or A-BUS Ready receiver . The KP10 has punch down connectors f or the eight individual conductors of the Cat-5 cable (use a small flat-bladed screwdriver).

12 Incognito KP1 0 The six LEDs indicate the function status of the KP10. List ed below are each of the functions of the corresponding LEDs: Minimum volume / Source select Volume / Source select / Bas.
Incognito A-BUS keypad 13 Standby/On Press to switch the k eypad between On and Standb y mode. By pressing and holding the Standby button f or about 2 seconds, all KP10s connected t o the AH10 hub will be turned off. If the KP10 is connected t o a Cambridge Audio Incognito R eady Amplifier rather than an AH10 hub, the am plifier will be turned off.
14 Incognito KP1 0 OPERA TING INSTRUCTIONS Important! As mentioned previously , the KP10 can be switched between two modes of operation; a standard A-BUS mode for compatibility with o ther manufacturers A-BUS Ready equipment (Standard A-BUS/Incognito Ready mode), and an Incognit o A-BUS hub mode (AH10 mode).
After holding both buttons down f or a short period, the second LED on the ke ypad will light indicating that Bass adjust mode has been activated. In this mode pressing the V olume up/down ke ys will adjust the Bass (low frequencies) lev el.
16 Incognito KP10 Note: This feature is only a vailable if the KP1 0 is part of a full Incognito multi-room system with one or two Local Input Modules (LM1 0) f itted. The local source selection mode will need to be activated t o configure the KP10 correctly .
Incognito A-BUS keypad 17 Continuing to hold V olume up and Po wer buttons will light LED 5, t o indicate that Off mode is available f or selection, and no source will be selected. T o select these modes, wait till the corresponding LED is lit and then release Power and V olume up buttons.
18 Incognito KP1 0 Input impedance 45 k ohms Frequency response 20Hz – 20kHz +/- 1dB THD <0.2% @ 1W , 20Hz – 20 kHz S/N ratio > 80 dB ‘A’ w eighted Volume control range - 80 dB, 36 steps.
