The SuperStack ® 3 Baseline 8 Port Gigabit Switch is a versatile, easy-to-use switch. It is ideal fo r users who want the high-speed performance of 10/100/100 0 switching but do not need sophisticated manage ment capabilities. The Baseline 8 Port Gigabit Switch is shipped ready for use.
The numbers in this diagram refe r to numbered sections in the text. Front Panel 1 8 RJ-45 10/100/1000 Ports WAR NIN G : RJ-45 ports. These are shielded RJ-45 data sockets. They cannot be us ed as standard traditional telephone sockets, or to connect the unit to a traditional PBX or public telephone network.

Connecting to a Network Device Follow these gui delines to connect a devi ce to the Baseline 8 Port Gigabit Switch: Use Category 5 unshielded or shielded (screened) 100 Ohm TP cable (or Category 3 cable for a 10 Mbps connection). The maximum length of cable fo r each connection is 100 m (328 ft).
