61181012L1-5C 1 10Base-T Hub INTRODUCTION The ADTRAN 10Base-T Hub is a compact, light weight hub that delivers 10Base-T connec- tivity. Th e 10Base-T Hub can also be u sed to increase the density of existing services. Figure 1 illustrates the 10Base-T Hub (P /N 1181012L1) front panel.
10Base-T Hub In stallation and Mainte nance Practice 2 61181012L1-5C Connections The 10Base-T Hub in corporates eight 10Base-T Ethernet ports (including one cross-over LAN connector/daisy-chain port). Up to seven platfo rms, or other equipment, can be connected to the hub using its 10Base-T Ethernet ports.

The first jack is also designa ted as the cross-over jack; it is controlled by the cross- over switch located at the far right of the rear panel.
Maintenance 61181012L1-5C 11 MAINTENANCE The 10Base-T Hub does not require routin e maintenance for normal operation. Do not attempt repairs in the fi e ld. Repair services may be obtained by returning the defective unit to ADTRAN. R e fer to “A ppendix A, Warrant y” for further information.
