EMC39-12 Features EMC39-12 User’ s Guide P age 1-3 1.4 EMC39-12 FEATURES The EMC39-12 Ethernet Media Con v erter provides connecti vity for up to twelve singlemode fiber optic connections. The network connection is made through a 50-pin connector on the rear of the unit.

Remove the protective plastic covers from the fiber optic ports on the applicable port on the module and from the ends of the connectors on each fiber strand.

A.1 10BASE-T T WISTED P AIR REQUIREMENTS When you connect a 10B ASE-T twisted pair segment to the EMC39-12, the de vice at the other end of the twisted pair segment must meet IEEE 802.
