3. T rail er cy cl e Assembl y: 1. Insert to w bar into frame c oupling and align so that detent engages in detent hol e on frame as shown above. Pr ogres sivel y tighten clamp bolts, alternating betw een bolts ev ery 1-2 N·m until both bolts ar e at 6-8 N·m (4-6 ft-lb).
4. T rail er cy cl e Rack Installation: 1. Attach bottom of r ack to hol es in bicycl e dr opouts using washer s and socket head bolts pr ovided. 2. Position t op of rack parall el to the gr ound.
5. Hitching the T rail er cy cl e to Y our Bicycl e: 1. Slide l ever to r etract safety pins. 2. Set hitch on rack as shown. 3. Ensur e that l ev er r otates back to full y engage pins. 4. Push knob do wn to engage hitch bolt. 5. F ully tighten hitch bolt.
6. Bef or e Y ou Ride: Check befor e each use: • Child weighs les s than 85 lbs (32kg). • Adult l ead cyclis t weighs at leas t twice as much as child. • T railer cycle rack is secur ely attached to bicycl e. • T railer cycle frame coupling bolts ar e full y tightened.
7. Saf ety Guidelines: • T railer cycle shall only be pull ed by a responsibl e adult. • Burl ey trail er cycl es ar e designed for childr en ages 4-10 with sufficient coor dination to pedal and adequate str ength to hold on to the handl ebars tightl y .
8. Maintaining Y our Burl ey: • Inspect chain, chainring and r ear c og(s); r eplace if worn. • Cl ean and lubricat e pivot points on deraill eur (Pic col o onl y), wipe e xc ess lubric ant to pr event dirt buildup. • Inspect deraill eur c able for fraying and r eplace as nec essary (Pic col o onl y).
