2 Do not connect the AirStation 54Mbps Bridg e to y our e xisting netw ork until configuration of the AirStation is complete! Deciding on a Mode f or Initial Connection to the AirStation Wireless .
3 Configuring the AirStation using an Ethernet Connection Do not connect the AirStation 54Mbps Bridg e to y our e xisting netw ork until configuration of the AirStation is complete! Plug the pro vided 7ft.
4 Step Configur e y our TCP/IP Settings Na vigate to the Dock and Click on System Pr e f e r ences . - Click Netw ork - Set Location to Automatic . - Set Sho w to Built-in Ethernet - Set Conf igure to M an uall y - Set IP Address to 192.168.11.2 - Set Subnet Mask to 255.
5 Open your w eb bro wser and enter 192.168.11.1 into the br owser addr ess field. Y ou will be prompted to enter a User ID and Passw ord User ID: root Passw ord: leave b lank (enter no pass w o r d) NOTE: These ar e the factor y default settings The AirStation 54Mbps Bridge configuration page will open.
Configuring the AirStation using a W ir eless Connection 6 Step Gather M AC A d d r ess and ESS-ID (SSID) In f ormation MA C Addresses ar e 12-digit codes comprised of numbers and letters separated by a semi-colon (:) after ev er y tw o digits.
7 Na vigate to the Dock and Click on System Pr e f e r ences . - Click Netw ork - Set Location as Automatic - Set Show to Airpor t - Set Conf igure to M an uall y - Set IP Address to 192.168.11.2 - Set Subnet Mask to 255.255.255.0 - Lea ve the other fields blank - Click Appl y No w and close From the Apple Menu Items, select Control Panels.
8 Click the “signal strength meter” icon in the Finder menu bar . Select the AirStation 54Mbps Bridge ESS-ID . In OSX, y ou can select y our wir eless netw ork in tw o locations: Select J oin a specific netwo r k and select the AirStation 54Mbps Bridge ESS-ID from the pull do wn menu in the Airport tab of the Network System Pref erences.
9 In O S 9 , y ou can select y our wir eless netw ork in either of the following tw o locations: Open Apple’ s AirPort Software. Click the “settings” arr ow and choose the AirStation 54Mbps Bridge ESS-ID (from the pull do wn menu) under Choose Network .
