If not adding tacking, set the tack ing length to "0". If this is done, it will not be poss ible to set a valu e for the offset.

7. SEWING RH-9800 33 7-4. Needle and knife position The fe ed bracket is ele c troni cally controlled by means of pulse moto rs . It is not nece ss ary to cha nge the position of the kn ife when switchin g between cuttin g before sewing and cuttin g after sewi ng.
7. SEWING RH-9800 34 Knife position compensat ion function This function m oves the knif e with resp ect to the seam in order to ensur e that dis tances a and a' are equal. 1. When cutting before s ewing, th e differenc e between a and a' will chang e depending on th e cloth ope ning amount.
