1 Operating instructions English 1.1 Introduction W e are delig hted that you hav e chosen one of our quality products. Please r ead these operating i nstructions carefully to ensure correct and safe use of the coff ee making machi ne and benefit fully from its use.
2 1.3 Warnings and precautions The following war nings and precauti ons must be observed to safeguar d the safe use of the coff ee maki ng machine: W ARNINGS ∆ Never i mmerse the machine i n water. ∆ Remain in the vi cinity of the machine during mai ntenance activiti es, such as descaling.

4 1.5 Installation and operation 1. Place the machine on the w ork surface. 2. Check whether the machine is positioned steady and horiz ontally . 3. Check whether a free wall socket i s avail able. 4. Slide an empty filter pan (5) into position and place an empty decanter (4) beneath it.
5 1.6 Usage B REWING COFFEE 1. Before using the machine, check whether the spring i n the filter pan (5) is positioned cor rectly ( the spring must lie flat on the bottom of the filter pan). 2. Place a paper filter (6) in the filter pan. 3. Put the requir ed amount of coff ee in the filter (see § 1.
6 PRECAUTIONS ** Always wear protecti ve gloves when using Cleaner ! 1.7 Cleaning It is important that the machi ne and the accessories be kept clean. It is best to clean the machine w ith a damp cloth, if necessary w ith a non-abrasiv e and/or corrosiv e detergent.
7 PRECAUTIONS ** • Remain in the vicinity of the m achine during all descal ing activities. • Wear gloves and face protection during all descal ing activities. 1.8 Descaling In hard water areas chalk and limescal e will accumulate when the machine is used.
