– 10 – All Installations 1 . Strip 1 / 2 -inch (13mm) of insulation f r o m the wire, and twist the wire strands together . The speaker jack will accept either b a re wi re up t o 1 2- gauge or single banana plugs. 2. Connect the wire to the speaker.
Note T he arro ws and soundwaves “ ” indic ate the direction of the speakers ’ dispersion. Rotate the baffle so that the arrows point tow ard the center of the listening area for direct operation and towar d a corner for diffuse operation. Refer to Placement/L o cation Tips for more information on proper positioning.
7. Once the baffle is in the desired position, turn the flathead screws to the “Lock ” position. 8. Insert the grille into the slots in the baffle by gently applying pressure along the edge (see diagram #9). Note If you wish to paint your speakers or g rilles, it should be done prior to instal- lation of the grille.
– 13 – P ainting The Speaker F rame The speakers may be painted before or after they are installed. They are already primed. 1. Insert the supplied paint shield into the frame of the speaker . 2 . P aint the frame. If you are using spray paint, apply two light coats.
– 14 – Listening Lev els/ Po wer Handling The power recommendations f or the speakers assume that you will operate the amplifier in a way that will not produce distortion. Even o u r rugged speakers can be damaged by an amplifier if it is producing distortion.
