4 Unpacking Carefully unpack the subwoof er and transmitter . I f there is an y sign of damage from transit, r epor t it immediately to y our dealer and/or delivery ser vice. Keep the shipping car ton and packing materials for future use. Be sure t o keep your purchase receipt in a safe place , as it may be requir ed for warranty purposes.
5 C onnections After the subwoofer is placed you can make the audio and power connections. The wirelss transmitter lets you deliver the audio signal to the subwoof er with a minimum amount of cable. However audio signal cables can also be connected dir ectly to the subwoofer if y ou pref er .
6 Connecting to Electronics W ithout a Subw oofer Output If the electronic in your system does not have a subwoof er of LFE output you can connect the HPS 8Wi to a preamp output. Use a stereo RCA cable (not included) to connect the preamp outputs to the Lef t and Right inputs of the transmitter or the subwoofer .
7 Po larity Cont rol (0° or 180°): Selects regular (0°) or inverted (180°) phase for the subwoof er . Set this switch to provide the fullest, most dy- namic bass. The e ect of phase will be most audible on low-frequency percussion instruments or music with a continuously repeating bass line.
