4 English Français Español P REPARING FOR U SE Where to begin Y our expansion system or speaker s must be set up and con- nected to the LIF ESTYLE ® system before you can use them with the PERSONAL ® music center II. If you have a Bose ® link product and still need to set it up, see “T o add more r ooms of sound” on page 25.
5 English Français Español P REPARING FOR U SE Confirm that current settings are right Y our PERSONAL ® music center II is pre-set at the factory for compatibility , as follows: • T o cont r ol sound in a single expansion r o om – Room B – or a r ea (not in Room A, the lo cation of your LIFESTYLE ® media center).
6 English Français Español P REPARING FOR U SE Basic controls Using just a few selection buttons and the display screen, you can see, choose fr om, and enjoy a wide variety of LIFESTYLE ® system capabilities in your expansion room.
7 English Français Español P REPARING FOR U SE What appears on the display Press to see the list of the av ailable sour ces (Figure 2). Y our list may look different, depending on the components you have connected to your LIFESTYLE ® system, and what type of system it is.
8 English Français Español P REPARING FOR U SE When you see the display above, you may: • Change the station selected by using the up and down arrows, which move forward or backward through the preset stations. • Confirm a new selection by pr essing in on the center bar .

15 English Français Español L ISTENING TO Y OUR LIFESTYLE ® S YSTEM Using radio presets Y our LIFESTYLE ® system can store up to 20 AM and 20 FM stations as radio presets. By assigning a preset nu mber to the stations you like most, you can get to them quickly and easily .
