4 Install or Replace Batteries AcuRite recommends high quality alkaline batteries f or the best product per for mance. Heavy duty or rec hargeable batteries are not recommended. The outdoor sensor requires lithium batt eries in low temperature conditions.
5 Select T emperature U nits T o select be tween degrees F ahrenheit (ºF) or Celsius (ºC) temperature units, press the “ºC/ºF” button locat ed on the bac k of t he display unit inside t he batter y com par tment area. Set T ime & Date Press and hold the “SET” button, locat ed on the bac k of t he display unit, to enter SET MODE.
6 Placement for Maximum Accuracy AcuRite sensors are sensitive to surrounding envir onmental conditions. Proper placement of bot h the display unit and outdoor sensor are cr itical to the accuracy and perf ormance of t his product. 7 OPERATION Using t he How-t o-Dress Weat her Forecas ter Learning Mode Self-Calibrating Forecasting use a unique algorithm t o analyze c hanges in pressure o v er a time period (called Lear ning Mode) to deter mine your altitude. Af ter 1 4 days, t he Learning Mode icon disappears from the displa y screen.
