4 Install or Replace Batteries Batter ies must be installed for t his product to operate. AcuRite recommends high quality alkaline batteries f or the best product per for mance. Heavy duty or rechargeable batt eries are not recommended. The outdoor sensor requires lithium batt eries in low temperature conditions.
5 Placement for Maximum Accuracy AcuRite sensors are sensitive to surrounding envir onmental conditions. Proper placement of bot h the display unit and outdoor sensor are cr itical to the accuracy and perf ormance of t his product. 6 Using t he Thermometer High/Low Records The “HIGH” and “L O W” temperature records ar e automatically cleared ev er y 24 hours. The time records clear each day is det ermined by the time t he batter y was installed. For ex ample, if the batt er y was installed at 6:00 pm, then high/low records will reset at 6:00 pm daily .
