5 Display Unit Se tup The display unit operates wit h batter ies and/or pow er adapter . R egardless of the power source, it is r ecommended that batter ies always be installed to ensure continuous operation (and retain records) in case of a po w er outage.
6 Set t he T ime & Date The cloc k and calendar are utilized to time stamp histor y records and other data, so it is impor tant to set t he time and dat e soon af ter you pow er on the display unit.
7 Select Measurement U nits T o select betw een standard units (mph, ºF , etc.) or metric units (kph, ºC, e tc.): 1 . Press t he“ ▲ ” or “ ▼ ” buttons until “SET UNITS?” is displayed on the Selectable Cat egor y par t of the display unit.
8 Placement for Maximum Accuracy AcuRite sensors are sensitive to surrounding envir onmental conditions. 9 OPERATION Using t he Professional Weat her Cent er Learning Mode Self-Calibrating Forecasting use a unique algorithm t o analyze c hanges in pressure o v er a time period (called Lear ning Mode) to det ermine your altitude. Af ter 1 4 days, t he Lear ning Mode icon disappears from the display screen.
