4 SETUP Install or Replace Batteries AcuRite recommends high quality alkaline or lithium batter ies in the outdoor sensor f or the best product perf ormance. Heavy duty or rechargeable batt eries are not recommended. The sensor requires lithium batt eries in low temperature conditions.
5 PLEASE DISPOSE OF OLD OR DEFECTIVE BATTERIES IN AN ENVIRONMENT ALLY S AFE WAY AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH Y OUR LOCAL L AWS AND REGULATIONS. BA TTERY SAFETY : Clean the battery contacts and also those of the device prior to batter y installation. Remove batteries from equipment which is not to be used for an extended period of time.
6 Set t he Time & U nits Press the “ ” button, located on t he front of the display unit, to ent er SET MODE. Once in set mode, t he preference y ou are currentl y setting will blink on the displa y . T o adjust t he currently selected (ashing) item, press and release the “ “ or “ ” buttons (press and HOLD to fast adjust).
7 Placement for Maximum Accuracy AcuRite sensors are sensitive to surrounding envir onment al conditions. Proper placement of bot h the display unit and outdoor sensor are critical to t he accuracy and perf ormance of t his pr oduct. 8 Using t he Thermometer High/Low Records T oday’s high and low values ar e recorded for indoor and outdoor temperature. The high and low recor ds automatically clear at 1 2:00am. T o view the LO W temperature record, press and release the “ ” button.
