4 Install or Replace Batteries AcuRite recommends high quality alkaline batteries f or the best product per for mance. Heavy duty or rec hargeable batteries are not recommended. The outdoor sensor requires lithium batt eries in low temperature conditions.
5 Set T ime & Date Press and hold the “SET” button, locat ed on the bac k of t he display unit, to enter SET MODE. Once in set mode, t he preference you are currently setting will blink on the displa y .
6 Placement for Maximum Accuracy AcuRite sensors are sensitive to surrounding envir onmental conditions. Proper placement of bot h the display unit and outdoor sensor are cr itical to the accuracy and perf ormance of t his product.
