Do not open any access panels which require the use of tools. Failure to heed this warning can result in electrical shock.
INSTALL A TION 4 RE A D THIS C A R EFULL Y BEFORE ST A RTING TH E INST ALLA TIO N Unpack the unit. Inspec t all components for completeness and condition. Ensure that all packing materials have been removed from the unit. Verify that the Spray Head Gasket and Spray Disk are properly installed.

STAR T-UP For initial start-up, o r if the brew er has not been used for an extended period of tim e: ♦ Be sure spray disk and brew ga sket are properly installed in the brew head. ♦ Be sure the w ater s upply is properly connected and the water supply valve is turned ON .
OPERATION (continued) WATER HEATER Water t emperature is s ensed by a thermobulb inserted into the w ater ta nk. This te m peratu re signa l is fed to the mechanical thermostat. The setpoint temperature is adjustable. Heating element is energized by the thermostat.
A. PREP ARATION Examine the coffee brew chamber to verify th at the tall the wire rack is in place. Plac e one (1) genuine Bl oo m f ield paper filter into the w ire rack in the coffee brew chamber. Add a p re-measur ed amount of fresh coff ee grounds.
BREWING TEA 10 A. PREPARATION Exam ine th e tea b rew chamber to verif y that the short the w ire rack is in place. Place one (1) genuine Bloomfield paper filt er into the w ire r ack in the tea brew chamber. Add an amount of fresh tea leaves to the brew chamber appropriate to the desired 1 gallon or 3 gallon brew volume.
CLEANING I N STRUCTIONS PROCEDURE: Clea n Coffee/Tea Brewer PRECAUTIONS: D isconnect brewer from electric power. Allow brewer to cool. FREQUENCY: Daily TOOLS: Mild Detergent, Clean Soft Cloth or Sponge Bristle Brush, Bottle Brush 1. Disconnect brewer from electric power.

TROUBLESHOOTING SUGGESTIONS 13 SYMPTOM SUGGESTED REMEDY Poor coffee quality Keep brewe r, brew chamber and decanters clean. Install a taste and odor filter in water supply, and replace cartridges regularly . Use a qualit y coffee with a consistent r oast.

SERVICING IN STRUCTIONS 15 TEMPERATURE ADJUSTMENT Unplug po wer cord or tu rn circuit bre aker OFF. Rem ove top panel. Pull vent tube out of tank lid and insert a thermome ter of know n accuracy in hole. Reconnec t br ewer to electrical po w er. Place empty container under brew chamber.
IMPORTANT: W ater pre ssure must be betw een 20 p.s.i and 90 p.s.i. flowing pressure . If water pressure exceeds t his value, or if water pressure varies greatly, a pressure regulator must be installed in the water supp l y line. IMPORTANT: Before set ting assembly into tank, make sure tank lid gasket is properly seated on flange of lid.
IMPORT A NT: W hen replacing water fa ucet coil, also re place seal gaskets. SERVICING INSTRUCT IONS (continued) 17 REPLACE SOLENOID Symptom: Automatic brewer will not f low water; or, automatic brewer drips continuously from brew head. Unplug power cord or turn circuit breaker OFF .
SERVICING IN STRUCTIONS (continued) 18 REPAIR HOT WATER FAUC E T Remove top panel and turn faucet va lve OF F . Unscrew ae ra tor cap from faucet and remove handle retaining clip. Do not let faucet bod y tur n. Pull bonnet assembly from faucet body. Examin e the interior of the faucet body a nd the sur face of the seat cup.
