INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS RE A D THIS CAREFULL Y BEFORE ST A RTING THE INST A LL A TIO N Unpack the unit. Inspec t all components f or completeness and condition. Ensure that all packing materials have been removed from the unit. Verify that the Spray Head Gasket (#33) and Spray Disk (#34) are properl y installed.
OPERATION 5 CA UTI ON : Personal Injury 5 Gallon water bottle can weigh up to 50 pounds. Install bottle carefully. Injury can result fr om improper lifting techniqu e or from attempting t o lift a full bottle with ou t adequate physical ability. OPERATION (contin ued) WATER HEATER Water temperature is sensed b y a thermobulb inserted into the water tank. This temperature signal is fed to the thermostat, which controls line power to the heating elem ent. The setpoint temperature is adjustable at the thermostat.
BREWING COFFEE CAUT ION: Burn Haza rd Exposed surf aces of the brewer, brew chamber and decanter may be HO T to the touch, and can cause serious burn s. CA UTI ON: Burn Hazard To avoid splashing or over- flowing ho t liqu ids, ALWAYS place an empty decanter under the brew cham be r bef ore starting the brew cycle .

11 SERVICING INSTRUCTIONS ACCESS PANELS Top panel is held by four screws at the corners. Front panel i s held b y two clips under each warm er plate, th ree screws at the bottom and a re taining lip at the top. Top rear pa nel is held b y two clips unde r the war mer pl ate.
IMPORTANT: Adjust timer with a full water bottle install e d in the bottle rin g. IMPORTANT: Before setting assembly into tank, make sure tank lid gasket is properly seated on flange of lid. DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN . IMPORTANT: When removing tank lid assembly, be careful to not damage or kink thermosta t capillary tube.
SERVICING INSTRUCTIONS ( continued) 13 REPLACE HEATING ELEMENT Remove tank lid assembly per ab ove. Remove two hex nuts h o l ding elem ent to cover. Pull elem ent from mounting holes. Reassemble in reverse order. REPLACE WARMER ELEMENT Remove warmer plate by turning cou nter-clockwise.
CA UTI ON - CH EMICA L BURN HA ZA RD Deliming chem icals are caustic. W ear ap pr op riate prote ctive gloves and goggles during this procedure. Never siphon deliming chemicals or solutions by mou th. This operation should only be perfo rm e d by qualifie d an d ex- perienced service personnel.
7. Set the tank ba ck into the brewer. Reassem b le the ta nk lid to the water tank. Mak e sure the gasket is properly in place, then reinstall the hold-down strap. 8. Reinstall w iring to heating element and thermostat. Reinstall the hi-limit thermostat .
