PRECAUTIONS A ND GENERAL INFORMATION 4 WARNING: ELECTRIC SHOCK HA ZARD All servicing requiring access to non-insulated components must be performed by qualified service personnel. Do not open any access panels which require th e use of tools. Failure to heed this w arni ng can resul t in electrical shock.
INSTALL A TION 5 READ THIS CA REFULL Y BEFORE ST ARTING THE I NST A LLA TION Unpack the unit. In spect all com ponents for completeness and condition. Ensure that all packing materials have been removed from the unit. Verify that the Spray Hea d Gaske t and Spray Disk are properl y installed.
INSTALLATION (continued) 6 RE A D THIS CAREFULL Y BEFORE ST A RTING THE INST A LLA TIO N PLUMBER’S INSTALLATION INS TRUCTIONS (AUTOMATIC BREWERS) Brewer should be connected to a POTA BL E WATER, COLD WAT ER line. Flush water line before connecting to Brewer.
INSTALLATION (continued) 7 WARNING: SHOCK HAZARD Brewer must be properly grounded to prevent possible shock hazard. DO NOT assume a plumbing line will provide suc h a ground. Electrical shock will cause death or serious injury. IMPORTANT: Supply power mu st match nameplate for voltage and phase.
OPERATION A. STAR T-U P For initial start-up, or if the br ew er has not been used for an extended period of time: ♦ Be sure spray disk and brew gasket are properly insta lled in the brew head. ♦ Be sure the w ater supply is properly connected and the water supply valve is turned ON .
BREWING COFFEE A. PREPARATION Place one (1) genuine Bloomfield paper filter in the brew chamber. Add a pre-measured amount of fresh coffee grounds. Gently shak e the bre w ch amber to level the bed of grounds. Slide the brew chamber into place under the brew head.
CLEANING I NSTRUCTIONS PROCEDURE: Clean Coffee Brewer PRECAUTIONS: Disconnect br ewer from electric power. Allow brewer to cool. FREQUENCY : Daily TOOLS: Mild D etergent, Clean Soft Cloth or Sponge Bristle Brush, Bottle Brush 1. Disconnect brewer from electric power.
TROUBLESHOOTING SUGGEST IONS SUGGESTED REMEDY Check power supp ly cord Check / reset circuit breaker Set for desired temperature Allow to cool hi-limit will self- reset Examine wiring & connectors.

SERVICING IN STRUCTIONS (continued) TEMPERATURE ADJUSTMENT Disconnect brewer from electric power. Remove top panel. Remove button plug from front panel. Pull vent tube out of tank lid and insert a thermo me ter of know n accuracy in hole. Reconnect brewer to electrical power.
SERVICING INST RUCTIONS (continued) 14 IMPORTANT: Water pressure must be between 20 p.s. i and 90 p.s.i. flowing pressure . If water pressure e xceeds this value, or if water pressure varies greatly, a pressu re regulator must be installed in the water supply lin e.
SERVICING INSTRUCT IONS (continued) 15 REPLACE SOLENOID Symptom: Automatic brewer will not flow water; or, automatic brewer drips continuously from brew head. NOTE: Wrench p/n 86660 is designed to allow easy removal of the hoses f rom the plast ic solenoid valve.
SERVICING IN STRUCTIONS (continued) 16 IMPORTANT: When replacing w ater faucet coil, also replace seal ga skets. NOTE: Any abrasion or roughness on the flat end of the seat cup will require replacing the seat cup: Work the seat cup out of the bonnet and off of the end of the stem.
SERVICING INSTRUCT IONS (continued) 17 CAUTION: CHEMICAL BURN HA ZA RD Deliming chemicals may be caustic. W ear appro priate protective gloves and goggles during this procedure. Never siphon deliming chemicals or solutions by mouth. This operation should only be performed by qualified and experien ce d se rvi ce person ne l.
