Y1 - 03 -022 9C 3 SECTION 1 - HOW THE ARX-50 WORKS T he ARX-50 alarm receiver is designed as a com panion to the ACR r adio beacon transm itter m odel num ber RBL-30 (Mini B™ 300 ). It is intended to be used in a crew overbo ard (COB) al erting application .

Y1 - 03 -022 9C 5 Location selection Choose a dry, clean surf ace to install th e ARX -50, giving cons ideration to the importance of the location. The us er m ust be ab le to see the v isual alarm and hear th e audible alarm . CAUTION: W hen using the included antenna, the ARX -50 must be mounted vert ically and the antenna m ust not be within 0.
Y1 - 03 -022 9C 6 Connect the pow er supply The ship’s power su pply is the source of po wer for the ARX -50. A one- meter I/O c able is supplied with the product. It is recomm ended that a qu alified m arine electronics prof essional or qualified electrician con nect the po wer.
Y1 - 03 -022 9C 7 The ARX-50 has three lar ge, c ircular push buttons and seven LEDs that indicate set tings. The push buttons switch b etween a lternate modes. Each button is assigned a s et o f functions. See Figure 1. Each button “ beeps” when depressed.
Y1 - 03 -022 9C 8 Monitor Low m ode This m ode is identical to t he Monit or High mode except that the sp eaker volume is lower. NOTE: The ARX-50 reverts back to Alarm m ode af ter 15 m inutes in Monitor High m ode. Training mode Operation in Train ing mode is ide ntical to the live r adio beacon d etection mode.
