English -3- Intended use Y our Black & Decker microwave oven is designed to heat appropriate foods & beverages using electromagnetic radiation. Always check the suitability of ingredients before cooking. Do not use this appliance for any other purpose.
English -4- • The oven must have sufficient airflow . T o ensure good ventilation, a gap of 10 centimetres is r equired at the back, 15 centimetres at one side, 30 centimetr es at the other side and 30 centimetres above.
English -5- • Do not operate the appliance when empty . This could damage the oven. • Do not use the oven to stor e any items. • Food surr ounded by a membrane, such as egg yolks, potatoes, chicken livers, etc. must be pierced several times with a fork before cooking.
English -6- Safety of others • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety .
English -7- Assembly (Fig. B) Warning! Befor e assembly , make sure that the appliance is switched off and unplugged. • Place the appliance on a flat, even surface. • Open the door (6) & place the turntable shaft (2) into the hole in the cavity base.
English -8- Combi. Cooking • Press the "Combi" button once. The LED will display "C-1", “ ” and “ ”. • Continually press the “Combi” button or rotate the contr ol dial (12) to select the requir ed power combination as follows: • Press the "Start/+30 Sec.
English -9- Note: Auto menu and preheating cannot be set as a cooking stage. Example: T o defrost the food for 5 minutes, then cook with 80% microwave power for 7 minutes: • Press the "Defr ost" button twice. The screen will show "dEF2", “ ”, “ ”.

Defrost by W eight • Press the "Defr ost" button once. The display will show "dEF1", “ ”and “ ”. • Rotate the control dial to select the weight of food to be defrosted. A figur e “g” will show in the display . • Press "Start/+30Sec.
English -12- • Press the "Start/+30 Sec./Confirm" button to confirm the power setting. • Rotate the control dial (12) to select 3 minutes and 20 seconds.
