7 Causes and oper ator prevention of kickback Kickback may occur when the nose or tip of the guide bar touches an object, or when t he wood closes in and pinc hes the saw chain in the cut. Tip contact in some cases may cau se a sudden reverse reaction, kickin g the guid e bar up and b ack towards the operator.
8 Vibration The declared vibratio n emis sion valu es stated in the technica l data and the de claration of conformi ty have been measured in accordance with a standard tes t method provided by EN 60745 and may be used for comparing one tool with another.

10 Place the new saw chain (8) in the groove of the guide bar (9) and around th e sprocket (15). Make sure that the teeth are facing the correct direction by matchin g the arrow on the saw chain (8) with the arrow on the chain cover assembly (6).

Always start a cut with the saw chain (8) running and the spiked bumper in contac t with the wood. To complete t he cut, use a pivoting ac tion of the spiked bumper aga inst the wood.
