7 SA VE THESE INSTRUCTIONS INTRODUCTION Black & Decker VPX TM chargers are designed to charge Black & Decker VPX TM battery packs in approximately 5-6 hours. The charger requires no adjustment and is designed to be as easy as possible to operate.
8 CHARGING PROCEDURE 1. Plug the charger into an appropriate outlet before inserting the battery pack. 2. Insert the battery pack into the charger ( figure B ). Be sure the pack is fully seated in the charger . While charging, the red (charging) LED will flash continuously (slowly) indicating that the charging process has started.
9 5. Foreign materials of a conductive nature such as, but not limited to, steel wool, aluminum foil, or any buildup of metallic particles should be kept away from charger cavities. Always unplug the charger from the power supply when there is no battery pack in the cavity .
