Also filter the shortening and cl ean the fryer at the end of each day. If you do not plan to use the fryer for an hour or more, turn the thermostat do wn to 150 and close the lid.

Risk of fire exists if the oil level drops below the minimum oil level. The level of oil within the pot must not fall below 5mm of the maximum oil level.
