ZyAIR G-5100 2 Overview This Quick S tart Guide covers how to set up and configur e the ZyAIR as an Access Point (AP) to allow wireless clients to access your wired network. See your User ’s Guide for how to configure bridge/repeater functions and for background info rmation on all features.
ZyAIR G-5100 3 1 Use the installation tool to connect the ground cable to the ZyAIR’s frame ground. Connect the other end of the ground cable to an appropriate gr ounding system. 2 For initial configuration , use a cross-over Ethernet cable to connect the power injector ’s DAT A IN port to a comput er .
ZyAIR G-5100 4 3 Set Y our Computer ’ s IP Address This section shows you how to assign your computer a static IP address in the 19 2.168.1.3 to 192.168.1 .254 range with a subnet mask of 255.25 5.255.0. This en sures that you r computer can co mmunicate with your ZyAIR.
