2 Installing the Modem Card 1 Before you start the hard ware ins tallatio n, close all running program s and shut d own W indows if you have not alrea dy done so. T urn your com puter off and unplug it. Don’t p lug it back in or turn it on unt il you com plete the modem hardware i nstallat ion.
3 5 Slide the m odem card f irmly into the f ree PCI slot. Be sure that the bac k end of the c ard (sm aller go ld finger area) is pr operl y seated i nto the co nnector.
