2 W hen the main i nterfac e appears , click Install Driv ers . W hen the Install D rivers sc reen ap pears, se lect t he modem type you are inst alling. C lick Next . Fo llow th e prom pts. Clic k Finish . Leave t he CD in th e drive , exit an y runni ng progr ams , and shut down your com puter.
3 4 Connect your tele phone (op tional) . You m ay also c onnect your regu lar tele phone t o the bac k of the faxm odem , in the jack labeled PHO NE . If your phone cord d oesn’t ha ve an RJ-11 plug, you m ay need a n adapter for your cord or a n RJ-11 phone c ord f or your pho ne.

Click Next . 7 At the Modem Properties box, se lect the n ewly insta lled modem and then c lick Properties . Set the M aximum speed to the hi ghest sp eed availa ble (probabl y 115,200) .
